Strikes Lead to Uneven Effects on Companies: Factories Prepare to Resume Production.

Neste continues to face distribution issues as business production resumes next week

The strikes, organized by the central organization of wage earners, SAK, have affected various companies in different ways. While political factories in the forest and metal industries were at a standstill, fuel manufacturer Neste is still uncertain about their ability to guarantee uninterrupted fuel distribution immediately after the strikes end. However, other companies like UPM and Stora Enso are preparing to start production at their factories once the strikes are over.

UPM is already beginning preparations for production at their pulp mill in Lappeenranta, while Stora Enso is planning to start up their paper line in Kouvola at the beginning of next week. Both companies are expecting a gradual return to normal production levels. Other companies affected by the strikes, such as Kemira, Outokumpu, SSAB, and Okmetic, are also making plans to resume production early next week. However, there may still be delays in product deliveries due to the strike’s impact on operations and logistics. While efforts are being made to restore normal operations as quickly as possible, it may take some time for production to fully ramp up to pre-strike levels. Customers are advised to be patient and understanding during this transitional period.
