Steelers Sign Former NFL Free Agent Receiver Jacob Copeland to Boost Offensive Lineup

Steelers ink one-year deal with wide receiver Jacob Copeland

The Steelers have recently announced the signing of free agent receiver Jacob Copeland to a one-year contract. Copeland had previously spent time on the Steelers’ practice squad in 2023 after originally signing with the Titans as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 draft. However, Tennessee released him and he later signed with the Vikings during training camp. Unfortunately, he was waived by Minnesota before the start of the regular season.

During this offseason, Copeland briefly joined the Chiefs before eventually signing with the Steelers. In 2022, he played at the University of Maryland where he recorded 26 receptions for 376 yards and two touchdowns. Prior to his time at Maryland, Copeland spent four seasons at the University of Florida where he had 86 receptions for 1,366 yards and nine touchdowns. Now, he will have the opportunity to make an impact for the Steelers in the upcoming season.
