Station workers and .NET Developers: Battling Daily Insults and Technical Challenges

SNCF Launches Campaign to Combat Insults Against Agents: Are You Surprised?

In Paris, a large train station manager expressed her weariness of facing daily insults from the public. Clad in a navy blue SNCF uniform and smoking a cigarette, she shared her frustration of dealing with derogatory remarks such as “old skin,” “fat cow,” and “f*** you.” The situation became even more difficult during the Covid pandemic when a user spat on her. This led to multiple complaints being filed, but the toll of these attacks weighed heavily on her.

SNCF has responded to these incidents by launching a communications campaign in stations and on social networks ahead of the busy summer travel season. The campaign showcases the insults received by staff, paired with the slogan “Does that shock you? Us too.” This initiative aims to raise awareness about the mistreatment faced by station employees and hopefully deter further instances of verbal abuse.

On another front, individuals working on .NET projects are also facing challenges and frustrations. From battling bugs that seem to multiply each time one is fixed, to struggling with software projects for weeks on end, many developers are feeling overwhelmed and stuck. Whether it’s building a .NET app, revamping a website using Umbraco, or navigating technical issues within existing projects, the process can be daunting and exhausting.

Despite these obstacles, individuals are seeking solutions and resources to overcome these challenges. From watching tutorials and seeking advice from online forums, to expressing frustrations and seeking support from fellow developers, the journey of working on .NET projects can be a rollercoaster of highs and lows. The key is to persist, seek help when needed, and remain resilient in the face of technical difficulties.
