$11.65M raised by Summer Health to expand pediatric telehealth service

Pediatric telehealth startup, Summer Health, announced the successful completion of an $11.65 million Series A funding round. The funding was led by 7wireVentures and Lux Capital, with participation from Pivotal Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Box Group, and Metrodora Ventures.

Founded in 2022, Summer Health offers a pediatric telehealth messaging service that allows parents to seek treatment advice for issues like breastfeeding, feeding problems, and minor injuries by texting the service. Based in New York, the company plans to use the funds to enhance its technology platform and expand its services to more users.

Ellen DaSilva, the founder and CEO of Summer Health, emphasized the company’s mission to simplify access to pediatric care by providing parents with 24/7 access to medical guidance tailored to their needs. The platform aims to help parents make informed decisions about their child’s health conveniently and quickly.
