St. Paul emerges victorious over Doherty in softball

In Worcester, Massachusetts on Tuesday night, the St. Paul and Doherty softball teams squared off in their longstanding rivalry at Bob Rousseau Field. The game was a testament to the competitive spirit of both teams, with St. Paul emerging victorious with a 6-1 win.

The Knights’ pitcher, Bella Mara, gave an outstanding performance, allowing only two hits and striking out an impressive 16 batters. On the offensive side, Emma Nordahl led the way for St. Paul, going 3-4 with a double, triple, RBI, and a run scored. Mara also contributed with a solo home run, and Ava Grant added an RBI of her own.

Doherty’s Audrey Lefebvre managed a solo home run of her own, while the Highlanders showcased strong defense, including a highlight-reel diving catch by Tess Lee in right field. With the win, St. Paul improved to 9-4 on the season, while Doherty’s record fell to 7-6.
