In other baseball action, Brookland defeated Greene County Tech, Melbourne took down Cave City, and Marked Tree recorded a win against Maynard. Highland secured a close victory over Flippin, while Riverside faced off against West Memphis in a thrilling game. Midland overcame Hillcrest and Sloan-Hendrix topped White County Central in baseball action.
On the softball side, Greene County Tech snapped Riverside’s 32-game winning streak with a 13-0 victory in softball action. Nettleton recorded wins against Paragould and West Memphis overcame Jonesboro in a close game. Corning defeated Marmaduke and Piggott overcame Manila in a hard-fought matchup. Pocahontas emerged victorious against Maynard and Walnut Ridge clinched the 3A-2 title with a win over Tuckerman in baseball action. Walnut Ridge also faced off against Tuckerman in a thrilling softball matchup, while Marion recorded a win over Wynne in baseball action. Izard County beat Yellville-Summit in softball action as well. Salem secured a close victory over Melbourne and Cotter defeated Calico Rock while McCrory emerged victorious against Conway Christian. Gosnell also recorded an impressive win against Harrisburg on the softball field.
