Spotify Premium Service Prices to Increase in July: How the Company is Continuing to Invest in Product Innovation and User Experience

Once again, Spotify raises the prices for its premium subscription in the US

In July, Spotify will increase the prices of its Premium service for the second year in a row. The company has announced that individual subscribers will see a one-dollar increase, bringing the monthly cost to $11.99. This means that Premium Duo plan subscribers will now pay $16.99 per month, an increase of two dollars. The Family plan, which allows for up to six cohabiting accounts, will also see a three-dollar increase, bringing the monthly cost to $19.99. However, the student subscription price remains at $5.99 per month.

Spotify justified this price adjustment as a way to continue investing in product features and provide users with the best experience possible. The streaming platform had previously adjusted subscription prices in several countries, including the United States and Spain last year.

The company confirmed that this price increase will only affect Premium users in the United States and they will receive an email notification this month about the upcoming change which takes effect in July.

This move is part of Spotify’s efforts to continue its investment in product innovation and enhance overall user experience.
