Sports Complex Boosts Henderson’s Recreational Scene and Economy

A potential new indoor sports facility may be on the horizon for west Henderson

Henderson, Nevada is on the verge of getting a new indoor sports complex that could be completed by next year. The facility will be built behind Chicken N Pickle at St. Rose and Maryland Parkways, covering an area of 180,000 square feet. This state-of-the-art complex will offer a variety of amenities for sports enthusiasts and families to enjoy.

The proposed sports complex will feature several amenities such as basketball courts that can be converted into volleyball and pickleball courts, hybrid turf fields for indoor soccer, box lacrosse, and football. There will also be birthday party and community rooms, family entertainment areas with options like bowling, laser tag, arcade games, miniature golf, a restaurant, and a bar.

This project is a public-private partnership with KemperSports, and residents of Henderson will be eligible for 20% discounts on all amenities offered at the complex. The city anticipates that this facility will attract sports tournaments and generate over $1 million in tax revenue and over $10 million in wages and salaries for workers. The total investment for the complex is projected to be $70 million, with funding coming from private third-party partners and various one-time funding sources including public infrastructure bond sales, the West Henderson Development Fund,
