Sporting KC Integrates Amazon’s Just Walk Out Technology into SportingStyle Store at Children’s Mercy Park

The Children’s Mercy Park, home to Sporting Kansas City, has recently implemented Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology. This cutting-edge technology uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to enable fans to quickly and easily purchase SportingStyle items. Each item features a unique RFID tag that is recognized by RFID readers at the exit gate, allowing fans to simply tap their credit or debit card to complete their purchase.

Season Ticket Members of Sporting KC receive an added perk with this new technology – a 15% discount on all SportingStyle purchases and food and beverage orders at Children’s Mercy Park. To access this discount, Season Ticket Members can show their digital STM card via the Sporting KC App to a SportingStyle associate and will receive a physical card that will automatically apply the discount for future purchases.

Children’s Mercy Park continues to enhance the fan experience with recent upgrades including Musco LED sports lighting, Daktronics LED displays, Evolv Technology’s guest screening system, and Drink Command’s Self-Serve Technology. The stadium was also selected as one of only three Major League Soccer (MLS) stadiums to host a CONMEBOL Copa America USA 2024 match between Canada and Peru in June, further solidifying its status as a top-tier sports venue. Since its opening in 2011, Children’s Mercy Park has remained committed to providing fans with a world-class experience.
