Parker Park Community Pool Now Open for Visitors

Jonesboro, Arkansas residents can now cool off in the newly opened swimming pool at Parker Park Community Center. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday, June 14 at 1 p.m. to celebrate the opening of the pool.

The pool features a splash pad, waterslide, diving board, basketball goal and a jacuzzi in the center for parents to relax in while watching their kids swim. Nine-year-old Sebastian Roblero, who lives close to the pool, expressed his excitement about the opening. He mentioned how easy it will be for him to walk over and enjoy the pool regularly.

Jonesboro resident Nichole Reynolds and her two children also attended the opening day and expressed their excitement about spending weekends at the pool. Reynolds mentioned her hope for season passes to be available for frequent swimmers. Mayor Harold Copenhaver announced that a second HAWK light will be installed on Church Street near the community center in the near future.

The swimming pool is open every day from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., with an entry fee of six dollars for adults (16+) and four dollars for kids 15 years old and younger.
