Splash!: Germany’s Largest Hip-Hop Festival Promises Safety and Zero Tolerance for Discrimination

The Secret Code Word Unveiled: Find Out What Happens at Splash Festival

In the upcoming weekend, Gräfenhainichen in Saxony-Anhalt will be hosting Germany’s largest hip-hop festival, “Splash!”, on the Ferropolis peninsula of Lake Gremmin. Among the star performers at this event are DSDS juror Shirin David and US rapper 21 Savage. However, attendees can rest assured that their safety is a top priority for the festival organizers.

If anyone feels uncomfortable or threatened during the event, they can simply ask for directions to “Panama”, and an alarm will be triggered, alerting festival staff to escort them to a designated safe area on the edge of the festival grounds. This special retreat, known as “Panama”, has been built specifically to protect individuals from harassment, threats or insults.

The code word “Panama” is known by all festival staff members and there is a trained team available in the retreat area to assist anyone who needs help. Additionally, special security team members wearing pink vests or a button with an eye symbol have been stationed around the festival grounds to easily identify them. The organizers emphasize that any form of discrimination such as sexism, racism or homophobia will not be tolerated at Splash!

The festival runs until Sunday evening and almost all tickets have been sold out. Weekend passes for 209.95 euros are still available on the festival’s website. The organizers hope to create a space where everyone can enjoy the music and atmosphere without fear of discrimination or harassment.
