Spanish Stock Market Surges to New Highs in Just One Day after Falling 11,000 Points; Repsol and Others Underperform While BBVA and Acciona Experience Gains

Ibex Index Soars 4% for the Week, Hits 2015 Highs

On Friday, the Ibex 35 closed at 11,154.6 points, marking a weekly increase of 3.96% and reaching its highest levels since August 2015. The Spanish stock market’s main index recovered 11,000 points just one day after losing them, with a 1.56% increase on Friday. This is the second consecutive week that the Ibex has gained ground.

Four stocks ended the day in the red on Friday: Repsol, which lost 1.9%, Redeia (-0.45%), Acerinox (-0.1%), and Naturgy (-0.09%). Ferrovial ended the day flat. On the other hand, the biggest gains were seen in BBVA (+4.57%), Acciona (+4.1%), Grifols (+3.71%), Sabadell (+3.27%), and Acciona Energa (+2.72%). Among the large Ibex companies, Santander (+2.16%), CaixaBank (+1.95%), Iberdrola (+1.31%), and Inditex (+1.43%) saw growth
