He described Spain as a friendly country and expressed his full confidence in Pedro Sánchez’s ability to make decisions that would facilitate peace and stability in the region.
Abbas extended his wishes for peace and prosperity to King Felipe VI, the Spanish government, and the Spanish people in a letter collected by Wafa, the official Palestinian news agency. The diplomatic exchange between Palestine and Spain was an important step towards bringing about lasting peace in the region.
