Southeast Bulloch High School STEM Club Takes First Place at Georgia Science Olympiad

Southeast Bulloch High School emerges victorious in the GA Science Olympiad Championship

The Southeast Bulloch High School STEM Club recently won the Class A state championship at the Georgia Science Olympiad. This year’s competition took place at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, where the club’s members excelled in 14 out of the 24 individual events. In total, they secured eight first-place finishes, two second-place medals, and four third-place accolades.

Southeast Bulloch High School student teams that medaled in the event and their corresponding grade levels are as follows:

– Detector Building: Joseph Reddin (12) and Krupa Pandya (11) took first place.

– Dynamic Planet: Isabelle Cruz (11) and John Toole (10) won first place.

– Flight: Chris Reyes (11) and Ethan Pryor (10) claimed first place honors.

– Microbe Mission: Emma Grace Lowe (11) and Ohm Pandya (9) also earned a first-place finish.

– Optics: Thom Mortimore (12) and John Toole (9) placed first in Optics event.

– Robot Tour: Joseph Reddin (12) and Quinn Stoy (9) secured a top spot in Robot Tour event.

– Tower: Mina Griner (8), Mattie Shaw(8), Ethan Pryor(9), Ohm Pandya(9), took a joint first place in Tower event.

– Wind Power: Ethan Pryor(9), Ohm Pandya(8), placed first in Wind Power event.

– Air Trajectory : Ethan Pryor(8), Quinn Story(8), came second place in Air Trajectory event .

– Codebusters : Malliaka Tariq(8), Krupa Pandya(7), Carolyne Petkewich(7), came second place in Codebusters event .

– Astronomy : Mina Griner(7), John Toole(6 ), came third place in Astronomy event .

– Disease Detectives : Thom Mortimore(7), Emma Grace Lowe(6 ), came third place in Disease Detectives event .
