Southeast Bulloch High School STEM Club Makes History at Georgia Science Olympiad

SEB High School emerges as winner of Georgia Science Olympiad Championship

At Southeast Bulloch High School, the STEM Club students made history at the Georgia Science Olympiad, winning the state championship in Class A. The event took place on March 30 at the Georgia Institute of Technology, with the club’s members earning medals in 14 out of 24 individual events. They were particularly impressive, with eight first-place finishes, two second-place medals, and four third-place finishes.

Danielle Hibbs-Heiser, a science teacher at Southeast Bulloch and the club’s STEM coach, couldn’t have been more proud of her students for their remarkable achievement. The Georgia Science Olympiad serves as a competitive yet enjoyable platform for students to enhance their knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The event is open to students in grades 3-12 and includes various competitions held throughout the school year.
