On Monday, South Africa secured a spot in the T20 World Cup semifinals after defeating hosts West Indies in a thrilling three-wicket win using the DLS method. The defending champions England also advanced to the semis from Group 2 with a win over USA on Sunday.

In Group 1, India is currently leading the standings with four points and looks set to qualify for the semifinals. If they defeat Australia, they will finish as the top team in the group. Afghanistan, on the other hand, has two points and needs to beat Bangladesh in their next match to secure a spot in the semifinals.

If India loses to Australia and Afghanistan beats Bangladesh, all three teams will finish on four points each. In this scenario, net run rate (NRR) will come into play, where Afghanistan needs to win by a big margin for them to secure their place in the semifinals. England can only miss out if Australia and Afghanistan win by more than 120 runs in their final matches.

Meanwhile, South Africa has just secured their spot in the T20 World Cup semifinals after winning against West Indies on Monday. They now have six points and are currently leading Group 2. If they win their next match, they will finish atop of the group and join England as one of the two teams that have qualified for the semifinals from this group.
