Sony Announces Major Update for Gran Turismo 7 with New Cars, Menus and Events; Exclusive Highspeed Étoile’ Stickers Available

Update 1.44 for Gran Turismo 7 Introduces New Cars, World Circuit Events, and Additional Features

Sony has just announced a major update for Gran Turismo 7, featuring three new cars, an additional Café Menu, three World Circuit Events, and more. The update, patch 1.44, is set to go live on March 27 at 11pm PST as per a post on the PlayStation Blog.

The three new cars added in this update are the Toyota GT-One (TS020) ’99, Audi R8 Coupé V10 plus ’16, and Lamborghini Urus ’18. Additionally, the Jaguar menu has been moved to the Extra Menus section (Extra Menu No. 37), specifically for players at Collector Level 41 and above. The new World Circuit Events include the European Clubman Cup 600 at Blue Moon Bay Speedway – Infield A Reverse, Schwarzwald League at High Speed Ring Reverse, and World Touring Car 900 at the 24 Heures du Mans race track.

Highspeed Étoile’ stickers from the official TV animation series are now available for a limited time in the GT Auto / Livery Editor. There are 26 stickers in total, featuring title logos and main character designs from the show which premieres in Japan in April 2024. Limited-time availability details will be provided at a later date.

Fukushima has also been included as a featured Curation in Scapes. Gran Turismo 7 was launched in March 2022 for PlayStation 4 and 5 and received a positive review from IGN with a score of 9/10. The game blends elements from the original Gran Turismo and Gran Turismo Sport while making some minor missteps
