A Guide to Watching the NASCAR Cup Race at Sonoma Raceway this Sunday

Sonoma Raceway is set to host the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series race, with the possibility of a new driver winning for the ninth consecutive time. The drivers who have won in the last eight races include Austin Cindric, Christopher Bell, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, Tyler Reddick, Chase Elliott, and William Byron.

Last year at Sonoma Raceway, Joe Gibbs Racing claimed both the pole and the victory. This year’s race will be commanded by comedian James Murray at 3:38 p.m., with the green flag scheduled to wave at 3:50 p.m. The pre-race activities for Sunday’s race include the garage opening at 12:30 p.m., a driver meeting at 2:40 p.m., and driver introductions at 3 p.m. Marina Moye will perform the national anthem at 3:31 p.m.
