Soccer Complex Unveiled by Pittsburgh Riverhounds: New Home for Indoor and Outdoor Sports Activities

Pittsburgh Riverhounds reveal proposal for new multi-field sports complex in North Huntingdon

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds have unveiled plans for a new sports complex featuring both indoor and outdoor soccer fields in North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County. The announcement was made on the team’s website, highlighting their commitment to expanding their footprint and supporting local community organizations.

The new complex will be located on a 42-acre space near the Norwin Town Square shopping center, just off Route 30. It will include an indoor soccer field as well as multiple outdoor fields that can be used for various sports activities. Riverhounds owner Tuffy Shallenberger expressed excitement about the project, drawing inspiration from the success of the AHN Montour Sports Complex in Coraopolis.

Expected amenities at the complex include ample parking, lighting for the outdoor fields, a concession stand, and bleachers at each field. While an opening date has not been specified by the Riverhounds, they are eager to provide a similar facility in North Huntingdon as seen in Coraopolis.
