The Knox County Health Department’s School-Based Dental Program is hosting a series of events in June, offering free dental care for children and young adults. Services include education, screenings, sealants, and fluoride varnish for individuals between the ages of 4-21.
Tooth decay is the most common chronic disease in childhood, but with proper care, it can be prevented. Sarah Naill, a dental hygienist with the program, emphasizes the importance of attending events like these to promote a healthy smile for children.
Appointments are available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on specific dates in June at the Knox County Schools Welcome Center on 535 Chickamauga Avenue. A Spanish interpreter will be present to assist those who may need language support. If you are interested in scheduling an appointment, please contact 865-215-5131.
