U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, has recognized Sarah Hopkins and Mustard Seed Company of Monroe County as her Small Business of the Week. Since launching Mustard Seed Company on the Main Street of Albia in 2017, Sarah has expanded her exceptional service by creating The Seedling, a women’s and children’s boutique two doors down from Mustard Seed Company in 2021.
Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties throughout this Congress. Sarah Hopkins has successfully grown her quality home decor, furnishings, and gifts store idea into two thriving small businesses over the past six years. Working alongside her family and employees, Sarah has been a key community leader in growing the Albia economy. Her dedication has led to the successful growth of her businesses.
