Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico’s Video Update on Assassination Attempt: A Reflection on Western Interference and Political Hatred

Slovak Prime Minister Fico Hopes to Return to Work in July, Addresses the Nation in Video Message

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has made a video update on his Facebook page following the assassination attempt on him. In the video, he expresses his gratitude to the doctors who treated him and says that he hopes to be back at work by the end of June or early July if everything goes well. Fico also discusses his views on various issues including China and Russia, Hungarian billionaire George Soros, and the media.

Fico attributes the attack to aggressive incitement by opposition politicians against him and calls the shooter a “messenger of evil and political hatred.” He forgives the assailant and chooses not to press charges. Fico criticizes Western countries for trying to impose their beliefs on other nations and believes that China and Russia are being unfairly targeted as enemies by some parties.

The video also highlights Fico’s stance on Ukraine, where he says he has promised not to send any more ammunition to the conflict. He believes that this position is based on his commitment to peace in Europe and his opposition to Western interference in Eastern affairs.

Fico feels that he has been demonized in the media due to his differing views from those of opposition parties, which ultimately led to the attempted assassination. He urges opposition politicians to cease their attacks against him in order to prevent further incidents from occurring.
