Six Killed, Several Injured in Random Stabbing Attack at Sydney Mall: What We Know So Far

On Saturday, just before 4 p.m. (0600 GMT), an incident occurred at the Westfield Bondi Junction mall in Sydney that left the community stunned. The attack was carried out by a man named Joel Cauchi, a 40-year-old from Queensland, who had a history of mental health issues.

Witnesses described Cauchi as running through the mall with a knife, randomly targeting shoppers and staff. Additionally, several individuals remain hospitalized due to their injuries, with many in critical condition, including a young child.
