Shocking Revelations: Mitchell Businessman Faces Multiple Charges for Arson, Drug Possession, and Stalking

Mitchell, SD man’s home and business uncovered 125 guns

An investigation into a Mitchell businessman, Cory Cumings, has uncovered some shocking details. Court papers indicate that on December 21, ATF agents seized 147 items from his home and business in Plankinton and Mitchell Roofing and Siding. Among the items confiscated were 125 guns, including rifles, shotguns, and pistols, as well as eight silencers and over 10,000 rounds of ammunition.

Court documents revealed that Cumings had 3 ounces of THC wax in his bedroom and a scale with meth residue in a safe that only he had access to. The stalking charge against him was due to an incident where he allegedly threatened to hire a hitman to kill a woman. Additionally, Cumings had been arrested earlier in the year for driving under the influence of drugs while already out on bond for three previous DUI charges.

The serious nature of the charges against him is evident from the fact that he is scheduled for a court hearing on July 11 for his cases in both Aurora and Davison Counties. It remains to be seen what the outcome of his legal proceedings will be.
