Woman Found Dead in Trunk, Had Been Seen Alive on Friday

On Saturday morning, a 19-year-old woman’s body was discovered in the trunk of a parked car in a Regensburg parking garage. The dark blue Opel Corsa was found in the parking garage of a Toom hardware store on Frankenstrasse, near the Donau shopping center (DEZ) on the outskirts of Regensburg. Customers at the market alerted police after noticing a smashed side window of the car.

The young woman is believed to have been from the neighboring Cham district and had not been reported missing. According to police sources, she was seen alive on Friday before being found dead in the trunk of her car on Saturday morning. The cause of death is still unknown, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

Forensic experts spent hours gathering evidence from the car before it was finally towed away in the evening.
