Sharjah, the third-largest emirate in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), recently participated in the thirteenth session of the “AIM Investment Summit” held in Abu Dhabi from May 7 to 9. The delegation was led by the Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office “Invest in Sharjah” and included various bodies and institutions from Sharjah, showcasing the emirate’s vision for responsible investment, sustainable economy, and incentives to attract foreign investments.
The participation program included a joint pavilion from Sharjah entities and two dialogue sessions addressing sustainable development and innovative mechanisms for attracting foreign investments. The participation of Sharjah Media City (Shams) highlighted the emirate’s attractiveness to investors, especially in free zones with strong infrastructure and investor-friendly laws.
During the event, the Chairman of Sharjah Media City emphasized the role free zones play in internal economy growth, stating that they are essential to promoting foreign direct investment. This message was well received by many attendees who expressed their interest in investing in such zones.
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry also played a crucial role in enhancing international cooperation through its participation in the forum. They aimed to promote the investment environment, introduce incentives for investors, and provide support to businesses through various affiliated institutions. Their presence at AIM Investment Summit helped establish Sharjah as an attractive destination for foreign investors looking for business opportunities in a stable economic environment.
“Ivest in Sharjah” participated in discussions on global investment trends and strategies to attract foreign investments. AIM Investment Summit focused on sustainable investments and digital marketing methods for attracting foreign direct investment. Over 12,000 participants from 175 countries attended the event, including government officials, decision-makers, and business leaders.
