Seven Mass Graves Found in Gaza hospitals Amidst Ongoing Humanitarian Crisis: Hamas Announces Exhumation of 49 Bodies; Israel’s Prime Minister Accused of Halting Negotiations for Hostage Release; and Arms Transfer to Israel on Hold

The discovery of a new mass grave in Gaza has brought attention to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region. The government of Hamas announced that 49 bodies have already been exhumed at Al Shifa hospital, and they expect to find more. This marks the third such discovery in the hospital, which was closed due to military operations in Rafah.

Amidst these challenges, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been accused by a senior official of Hamas of bringing negotiations for the release of Israeli hostages held in Gaza to a halt. Netanyahu did this, according to the official, to buy time and warn the families of hostages that the last round of negotiations may be their last chance to bring their children back. However, despite this setback, the US believes an agreement between Israel and Hamas is nearing completion. Talks are ongoing to reach a ceasefire agreement for the hostages in Gaza.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has put an arms transfer to Israel on hold due to concerns surrounding military operations in Rafah. He emphasized that Israel must account for civilians in the region while reviewing security assistance. Additionally, the head of World Health Organization warned that hospitals in southern Gaza have only three days of fuel left due to border crossings being closed in Rafah.

Overall, seven mass graves have been found in various hospitals in Gaza Strip, highlighting the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.
