Serbian forward Filip Stuparevic has signed a two-year deal with Motherwell, with the option for an additional year. At just 23 years old, Stuparevic made history in the Serbian top flight by becoming the youngest player to debut at the age of 15 with Vozdovac. He later joined Watford in 2019 and most recently played for Slovenia’s Domzale, where he scored six goals in 22 appearances last season.

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell is thrilled about the signing, stating that Stuparevic’s experience in over 100 games in the Serbian top flight is evident. Despite being pursued by clubs like Juventus, Stuparevic chose Motherwell, showcasing his talent and potential. Kettlewell praised Stuparevic’s successful career start and believes the forward will bring flair and positive contributions to the team based on his performance last season.

In addition to Stuparevic, Motherwell has been active in the transfer market, with the recent signings of forward Zach Robinson, midfielders Ross Callachan and Tom Sparrow, and defenders Kofi Balmer and John Koutroumbis. With a new group of talented players coming in, Motherwell aims to strengthen its squad for the upcoming season.
