Jessica Casano-Antonellis is leaving her position at SiriusXM to take on the role of senior vice president of communications at a new sports joint venture formed by Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing all communications and will be a part of the company’s executive leadership team, reporting directly to CEO Pete Distad.
Prior to this new role, Casano-Antonellis held the position of senior vice president of communications at SiriusXM. She also has experience as vice president of communications for Disney+ and Hulu, as well as head of global communications at Vimeo, a video sharing platform.
Distad expressed his confidence in Casano-Antonellis by stating that her experience in the direct-to-consumer streaming industry makes her an ideal candidate for the role. He believes that her history of leading successful global launches and managing brand narratives will serve her well in this new venture.
Casano-Antonellis shared her excitement about the new opportunity, stating that she looks forward to working with Distad and taking part in launching a new streaming service for sports fans. She sees joining the joint venture at this early stage as a privilege and is eager to contribute to the project’s success. The new streaming service is expected to be launched this fall, and Casano-Antonellis is enthusiastic about bringing it to the market.
