Senator Jon Ossoff is making strides in improving health care in South Georgia by securing Federal funding for Tift Regional Health System. The $600,000 funding was made possible through a bipartisan government funding package that he worked on with both Republicans and Democrats.

The equipment will be used to upgrade traditional and peritoneal dialysis services at Tift Regional Health System, which serves 12 counties in South Georgia. Claire Byrnes, Senior Vice President for Ambulatory Services at Tift Regional Health System, expressed appreciation for Sen. Ossoff’s efforts in securing the funding, highlighting the growing need for dialysis services in the region.

In a statement, Sen. Ossoff credited Christopher Dorman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tift Regional Health System, for bringing the proposal to his office and showing strong leadership in the community. He also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to improving health care services in the region.

By upgrading their dialysis services with state-of-the-art clinical care machinery, Tift Regional Health System will be able to enhance and expand their capacity to provide effective care for patients in South Central Georgia.
