Jason Czarny has been appointed as the new executive director of Section III athletics by OCM BOCES. He will be replacing interim executive director Timothy Ryan, who took over in December after Todd Mulvaney left the position to return to his job as the athletic director of Moravia.
Czarny is expected to officially assume his new role by early June. In a statement, he expressed his excitement about the opportunity to shape positive and meaningful experiences for student-athletes participating in interscholastic sports, citing the lasting memories that are created through these experiences.
A graduate of West Genesee, Czarny has a wealth of experience in high school athletics, having served as the president of the Onondaga High School League and as a member of various league committees. Section III president and East Syracuse Minoa athletic director Mike Clonan spoke highly of Czarny, praising his leadership and enthusiasm for the position, and expressing confidence in his ability to contribute to all schools in the section.
OCM BOCES will be conducting interviews to fill the vacant assistant director position in the coming weeks. For any inquiries or information, contact Lindsay Kramer via email or Twitter.
