Seahawks Release Three Undrafted Rookies, Add UFL RB Ricky Person to Roster

The Seattle Seahawks have announced the signing of UFL running back Ricky Person Jr. on Monday. Previously, Person played for the Birmingham Stallions. In addition to this move, the Seahawks also made three cuts, waiving cornerback Ro Torrence, defensive end Rason Williams, and running back TaMerik Williams. All three had signed with Seattle as undrafted free agents in May.

Ro Torrence played at Arizona State and had a standout 2023 season with 37 tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks, and one interception. In 2022, as a redshirt junior, he led the team with eight pass breakups and recorded 36 tackles. Rason Williams spent one season on the defensive line at Louisiana Tech and started all 12 games in 2023, tallying 25 tackles and 2.5 sacks. TaMerik Williams returned to North Dakota State in 2023 for an extra year of eligibility due to COVID-19 and led the Bison with 767 rushing yards in 15 games with 14 starts.
