The Seattle Seahawks are bolstering their quarterback depth ahead of their mandatory minicamp by signing P.J. Walker to their 90-man roster. With only Geno Smith and Sam Howell currently under contract as quarterbacks, Walker’s addition indicates that the team is looking to add depth and competition at the position for the upcoming camp.
Walker has some experience under his belt, having appeared in six games and made two starts for the Browns last season, replacing Deshaun Watson in the middle of the season. Prior to his time with the Browns, Walker also made seven starts for the Panthers over the previous three seasons.
With his solid experience, Walker will provide valuable depth and competition at the quarterback position for the Seahawks as they prepare for their mandatory minicamp. Adding him to the roster will help spread out the workload and provide some insurance at the position during camp and beyond.
