Seahawks sign veteran guard Laken Tomlinson to bolster their offensive line

Laken Tomlinson signs with the Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks have signed free agent guard Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal reported to be worth up to $4 million by ESPN’s Brady Henderson. With openings at both guard spots, Tomlinson is expected to bring stability and experience to the Seahawks offensive line.

Throughout his nine-year career, Tomlinson has primarily played at left guard, missing only one game in that time period. Prior to his time with the Jets, Tomlinson spent five seasons with the 49ers after being drafted by the Lions in the first round of the 2015 draft. In 2017, he was traded to the 49ers by the Lions. Despite his consistent play, Tomlinson only received his first Pro Bowl nod in 2021.

With his wealth of experience and skill, the Seahawks are hoping Tomlinson will be a key contributor to their offensive line in the upcoming season. His versatility and durability make him a valuable addition to the team as they look to improve their performance in the upcoming season.
