With the draft still a few weeks away, the Seahawks are currently focusing on free agency to address their need for interior offensive line help. John Schneider, the team’s general manager, recently mentioned that they are exploring both options as possible ways to strengthen their line.
According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC, the Seahawks are meeting with veteran guard Greg Van Roten on Wednesday. Van Roten started every game for the Raiders last season and has previously been a starter for the Bills, Jets, and Panthers throughout his career. He began his career as an undrafted free agent with the Packers in 2012.
While there have been reports of interest in Laken Tomlinson and Cody Whitehair, neither of those players has visited Seattle at this time. However, the Seahawks are actively exploring their options to bolster their interior offensive line and improve their overall performance on the field.
