Sea Dogs Secure Fifth Consecutive Win with Ninth Inning Comeback, Topping Fisher Cats in Manchester

Sea Dogs extend winning streak to five with victory over Fisher Cats

The Portland Sea Dogs secured their fifth consecutive win by defeating the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 7-3, in Manchester, New Hampshire. Elih Marrero came through with a two-run single in the ninth inning, while Nick Decker drove in a pair of runs to secure the victory for Portland. Contributions from Tyler Miller and Alex Binelas helped build the Sea Dogs’ lead.

Despite New Hampshire scoring once in the sixth and twice in the seventh to narrow the gap, Portland pulled away with three runs in the ninth inning. Felix Cepeda closed out the game with 2 1/3 scoreless innings to earn his 12th save for Portland. Wikelman Gonzalez delivered a strong performance, allowing just one hit while striking out three in three scoreless innings for the Sea Dogs. Christopher Troye earned the win by allowing one run on three hits, striking out five, and walking two in three innings.
