Scottish Teams Kilmarnock and St Mirren Brace for Tough UEFA and Conference League Opponents in Second Qualifying Round

Kilmarnock and St Mirren eagerly await European draws

Scottish Premiership teams Kilmarnock and St Mirren are eagerly awaiting the upcoming draws for the Europa and Conference League second qualifying round.

Kilmarnock, who finished fourth in the Scottish Premiership last season, are unseeded in the Europa League draw and could potentially face tough opponents such as Ajax, Braga, or Rapid Vienna. If they lose their tie, they will drop into the Conference League third qualifying round as an unseeded side.

On the other hand, St Mirren, who secured fifth place in the Premiership, are seeded in the Conference League second qualifying round draw. Possible opponents for them include Brann, Cliftonville, Hacken, and St Patrick’s Athletic.

The draws for both competitions will take place on Wednesday morning at 12:00 BST for the Europa League and 13:00 BST for the Conference League. The first-leg matches for both teams will be on July 25th with return matches scheduled for August 1st before reaching their respective group phase. Both teams must go through a third qualifying round and playoff stage to progress further in their respective competitions. Kilmarnock last participated in European competition in 2019 while St Mirren’s most recent involvement dates back to 1987.
