Science Enthusiasts in South-Central Kentucky: A New Venture Brings Exciting Possibilities for Education and Exploration!

Kentucky Science Center Explores Opening Location in Bowling Green

In south-central Kentucky, there is potential good news for science enthusiasts as the Kentucky Science Center is considering expanding its presence across the state. Telia Butler, Bowling Green’s downtown development coordinator, recently revealed that the center reached out to the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce with plans to establish roots in the area.

Representatives from the Kentucky Science Center visited Warren County and will be returning later this month for further exploration of the town. In response to the interest from the KSC, the city and center are asking residents to participate in a survey available on the city website and Downtown BGKY Facebook page to assess the community’s interests and needs.

This development is particularly exciting for Bowling Green, as it currently lacks a science-based attraction. The closure of Barren River Imagination Museum in 2020 left a void in the community, making it an ideal location for a new venture like this one. Residents and officials alike are hopeful that this new addition will bring more opportunities for education and exploration to the area.
