Save Lakes, Build a Water-Smart Society: The 10th World Water Forum in Bali to Bring Together Global Experts and Stakeholders

The World Water Forum is a major gathering of stakeholders in the water sector that occurs every three years. The 10th edition of the Forum, which will be held from 18 to 24 May 2024 in Bali, is expected to attract 30,000 participants from 172 countries. This event is being jointly organized by the World Water Council and the Republic of Indonesia.

UNEP has organized several events at the World Water Forum, covering a range of topics related to water management and sustainability. These events include discussions on urgent calls to save lakes, innovative approaches to basin-scale water quality, smart water management capabilities, prosperity across the water cycle, global health approaches in monitoring, sustainable lake management, transformative change for a Water-Smart Society, global initiatives for water security, and governance for circular water and resource management.
