On Tuesday, Samsung Electronics announced the global launch of its new line of monitors for 2024. The company’s latest offerings include the Odyssey OLED, Smart Monitor i ViewFinity models that come with advanced features to cater to users’ needs.
Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, stated that the latest line of monitors offers a wide range of options to users worldwide, aiming to enhance their experiences regardless of how they use the monitors. He emphasized Samsung’s commitment to redefining the market and delivering top-notch technologies to its users.
The Odyssey OLED line introduces new models like the Odyssey OLED G8, Samsung’s first flat 32-inch OLED gaming monitor with 4K resolution, 240 Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03 ms response time. The lineup also includes the Odyssey OLED G6, which offers a 27-inch QHD display with a 360 Hz refresh rate. Both models feature AI technology and innovative screen burn-in prevention features, applicable only when using built-in Smart TV applications and the Samsung Gaming Hub platform.
The Smart Monitor series now includes the M8, M7, and M5 models with resolutions up to 4K. The M8 model stands out with its AI technology for content and sound optimization, along with a built-in SlimFit camera for video calls. Additionally, the new Workout Tracker enables real-time health data monitoring when paired with a Galaxy Watch smartwatch.
Lastly, the ViewFinity series caters to creatives and professionals with monitors made of recycled plastic, HDR10 support, and the ability to reproduce a billion colors. The S8, S7
