Samsung Electronics has made its Galaxy AI features available to a broader audience with the release of One UI 6.1 update. Initially, the update was only available on flagship models of the Galaxy S24 series, but as of March, users of Galaxy S23, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series have had access to it. The company has reported that there have been 8.8 million downloads of Galaxy AI features since its launch and anticipates this number to increase significantly in the future.

By the end of 2024, Samsung expects over 100 million users worldwide to be utilizing Galaxy AI’s advanced technologies such as live translation, live transcription, chat assistant and integrated search functions with Google. The reception of the One UI 6.1 update has been particularly positive among European users, with high download rates among Galaxy Z Fold5, S23 Ultra and Tab S9 owners making it one of Samsung’s most popular software updates in history.

Samsung has planned a second phase of rollout in May which will expand Galaxy AI capabilities to other models including the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 foldable devices and the Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets.
