Samsung Display to Provide OLED Panels for Apple’s Upcoming iPhone 16 Pro, Utilizing New M14 Organic Material

Samsung’s advanced OLED technology could enhance brightness on Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro

According to a recent report, Samsung Display will be supplying the displays for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro families of devices. These displays will utilize new M14 organic material, which will produce OLED panels with enhanced specifications compared to those used in previous models.

Google is also set to make use of Samsung’s latest technology, as the upcoming Google Pixel 9 will feature the best that the company has to offer. An industry insider reportedly told ETNews that both Google and Apple have placed orders with M14 material companies and are preparing for production.

While all iPhone 16 models are expected to use Samsung Display as their display supplier, the new M14 technology will only be reserved for the Pro and Pro Max models. This new technology is reported to bring increased brightness and longevity to Apple’s best iPhones. If Apple sticks to its usual release cadence, we can expect the new iPhones to be announced in September, along with faster performance, improved cameras, support for Apple Intelligence and everything else that iOS 18 has to offer.
