The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) has partnered with SafetyCulture, a leading technology firm, to launch new mobile safety and health training courses. This collaboration aims to provide frontline workers with quick and easy access to updated training that can be completed on-site using their mobile devices in just 15 minutes.
According to Mary Goranson, Vice President of Workforce Development at ASSP, essential safety and health courses are now accessible to workers nationwide through this partnership. These courses are designed to be user-friendly and provide refresher training for employers while also enabling ASSP to reach more workers with crucial safety information that can prevent injuries, illnesses, and fatalities on the job.
The 27 new courses cover a range of topics including fall protection, machine guarding, heat stress, hazard communication, and respiratory protection. These brief refresher sessions are tailored specifically to workers in high-risk industries like construction and manufacturing.
SafetyCulture’s online platform provides organizations with access to the training material for a free account. This enables them to deliver refresher courses directly to their teams’ mobile devices. For more information about SafetyCulture’s Training site, visit their website today.
