Customer at Sacramento business stabs employee, according to police

On Saturday morning, a customer in Sacramento attacked an employee with a knife, leaving the victim with a non-life-threatening injury. The incident took place at a business on 16th Street in the 2000 block around 3:45 am.

Police were called to the scene and upon arrival, they found the victim with injuries. The suspect, identified as Anthony Smith of Sacramento, was arrested nearby on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed dirk or dagger, and resisting or obstructing an officer.

Brandon Downs, who is a digital content producer at CBS Sacramento, reported on the incident and shared details about what happened. According to him, the employee was working at the business when the customer entered and started attacking him without any provocation. Brandon also stated that it is unclear what led to the attack and that further investigation is underway.
