Russia’s Secret Weapon: The Unraveling Mystery Behind Havana Syndrome

Could Russia be responsible for the Havana Syndrome?

In recent years, there have been ongoing investigations into the mysterious “Havana syndrome”, a disorder that has affected US embassy staff in Havana since 2016. This syndrome causes symptoms such as dizziness, headache, hearing impairment, and memory loss. A joint investigation by The Insider, 60 Minutes, and Der Spiegel has uncovered evidence suggesting that Russia may be responsible for causing this disorder.

The investigation revealed that members of the Russian GRU unit 29155 were using energy weapons to target US government personnel and their families. According to Russian military science literature, these agents are sound and radio frequency-based devices that were developed by senior members of Unit 29155. These agents were geolocated to various locations around the world just before or during reports of anomalous health incidents.

Greg Edgreen, a retired Army lieutenant colonel who led the Pentagon’s investigation into the syndrome, shifted his focus to Moscow early on in the investigation. Despite a 2023 government report stating that it is “very unlikely” that a foreign adversary was behind the brain injuries suffered by US national security officials, over 100 Americans still exhibit symptoms that align with what scientists believe could be caused by acoustic ultrasound. The victims of this mysterious syndrome include White House staff, CIA officers, and FBI agents, particularly those who excelled in their roles.

Edgreen emphasized the consistent connection to Russia in these incidents and urged caution for those working overseas in high-risk environments.
