Russian-Appointed Head of Occupied Sevastopol Reports Shelling Incidents, Killing Two People and Injuring 22 Others

Mikhail Razvozhaev, the Russian-appointed head of the administration of Sevastopol, a city in Crimea that is currently occupied, reported on recent shelling incidents in the area. The attacks resulted in the deaths of two people, including a two-year-old child, and left 22 others injured. Razvozzhaev also mentioned a small fire that broke out in a residential building due to falling missile fragments in another district of Sevastopol, as well as a forest fire near the “Lazur” rest house.

In a separate incident in the Belgorod region of Russia, one person was killed and three others were injured when a projectile hit an agricultural building in the village of Saltykovo. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that the region was shelled eight times in the past day, with 57 rounds of ammunition and four drones fired at the area. One of the drones hit the anti-aircraft defense system, and other regions in the area were also affected by shelling and drone attacks.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia has not yet released a statement regarding these incidents. There has been no confirmation from independent sources regarding these events.

It is important to note that there has been ongoing tension between Russia and Ukraine over Crimea for several years now. This conflict began after Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014. Since then there have been numerous military operations and skirmishes between Russian forces and Ukrainian separatists who are fighting for independence. The situation remains volatile today with ongoing fighting continuing to this day.
