He pointed out the growing economic cooperation between the two countries, with trade turnover reaching 7.3 billion dollars and doubling from the previous year. Overchuk also noted that Armenia is actively involved in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), further solidifying their partnership with Russia.

Overchuk’s remarks underscored the significance of Armenia to Moscow’s foreign policy. He emphasized the cooperative nature of their collaboration within the EAEU and commended Armenia’s active participation in the union. By reaffirming Armenia’s status as a key ally and highlighting the strength of their economic ties, Moscow continues to demonstrate its strong support for Yerevan.

The growing economic cooperation between Russia and Armenia serves as a testament to the close partnership and mutual benefits that both countries derive from their alliance. As an important player in regional politics, Russia values its relationship with Armenia and is committed to strengthening it further in the future.

Armenia has been actively involved in various international organizations, including NATO, but it has maintained its strategic partnership with Russia. Overchuk’s comments underscored that despite some tensions between Russia and NATO over issues such as Ukraine, Moscow still views Armenia as an important ally in its efforts to maintain stability in the region.

Overall, Russia views Armenia as a valuable ally in its foreign policy objectives, particularly given its economic ties with Moscow and its participation in international organizations such as NATO. By continuing to strengthen this alliance through economic cooperation and diplomatic engagement, both countries can benefit from mutual interests and promote peace and stability in the region.
