Russia and Israel in a High-Stakes Aviation Battle: How Tehran Prepares for Air Raids with Sukhoi SU-35 Fighters and Israel’s Unseen Assault Techniques

Arrival of Russian Fighter Jets in Iran

According to reports in the Iranian media, the country is set to receive a supply of Russian Sukhoi SU-35 fighters in the near future. The purchase of these advanced fighter jets was made in November and unofficial reports suggest that a total of 24 new jets will be delivered.

On April 17, President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran issued a warning of a “powerful and ferocious” response to any aggression on its soil by Israel. This threat came amidst tensions and speculation about the timing and extent of potential retaliation from Israel following an Iranian attack. General Hamid Vahedi, the commander of the Iranian Air Force, confirmed that the country was prepared to strike targets using Russian jets like the Sukhoi Su-24, in addition to other fighters.

Israel has been using advanced technology in its recent attacks on Iran to evade Iranian radar systems. Despite this, Iranian sources did not detect any intrusions into their airspace by drones, missiles, or planes. The precision of Israeli attacks, which were carried out from a safe distance, suggests a calculated move to deter future Iranian aggressions against Israel.

The use of drone attacks and undetectable missiles is seen as a warning to Iran of the potential for larger, more sophisticated attacks in the future. The recent events are seen as a way to make Iran think twice about direct attacks against Israel and signal that Israel is prepared to defend itself with advanced military technology.
