Rupert Murdoch’s $28.5 Million NYC Penthouse: Luxury Home Struggles to Find Buyers Despite Reduced Price Tag

Rupert Murdoch Cuts NYC Penthouse Listing Price in Half

Rupert Murdoch, the media mogul and owner of News Corporation, has decided to reduce the price of his three-story apartment in New York City. The apartment, which is a penthouse that offers stunning 360-degree views of Manhattan, was originally listed for $62 million in 2022. However, after multiple price reductions, it is now available for $28.5 million.

The apartment, located near the Flatiron building and Madison Square Park, has been on the market for years. In 2015, Murdoch briefly listed the apartment for $72 million before re-listing it in 2022 for $62 million following his marriage to Elena Zhukova. Despite its luxurious features and prime location in New York City, the property has proven difficult to sell due to its high price tag.

Murdoch’s estimated net worth is $19.7 billion, so the sale of the apartment may not significantly impact his financial situation. Nevertheless, he continues to search for a buyer for his upscale New York City penthouse.
