Running Back Tarik Cohen Signs One-Year Contract with the New York Jets in Comeback Bid

Tarik Cohen set to join Jets in new signing

A running back who is looking to resume his NFL career, Tarik Cohen, has reportedly signed a one-year contract with the New York Jets. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Cohen had not played in a regular season game since 2020 due to multiple knee injuries that kept him out for the entirety of the 2021 season. Unfortunately, he also suffered an Achilles injury in 2022. Despite spending time on the Panthers’ practice squad and signing a future contract with them, he was released earlier this month.

When healthy, Cohen was able to score touchdowns as a runner, receiver, and punt returner during his time with the Bears. He was recognized as an All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection for his work as a returner. The Jets will now have the opportunity to evaluate Cohen’s abilities and see if he can still have a positive impact on games in the upcoming months.
